Special Teams: In his first week since re-signing with the Bucs, Micheal Spurlock returned a punt 77 yards for a game-tying touchdown with 2:25 remaining in the fourth quarter. Game ball to him and the guys who provided excellent blocks – Quincy Black, Derrick Roberson and Brian Clark – making way for the former undrafted receiver out of Mississippi.
Hopefully this secures Spurlock some type of job with the team next year after going from the Bucs' practice squad to the 49ers and then the UFL's Florida Tuskers. He's a good luck charm. Hey, I never thought I'd see the Bucs return a kickoff for a touchdown in my lifetime, but he did it back in 2007. I never thought they'd have a win like this in 2009 either.
Micheal Spurlock has bounced around this season but made his mark Sunday with a huge kickoff return touchdown.
Combine Spurlock's touchdown with Connor Barth's game-winner from 47 yards out, and I say special teams had a pretty spectacular day. Despite a few misses this season, I'd say Barth has a job next year. It's interesting to note that Barth seems to fare better with longer kicks than he does with shorter ones. He's had misses from the 30ss but has hit 50-pluses.
Speaking of pluses, Rich Bisaccia's group gets two of them.

Coaching: Offensively, I liked Greg Olson's playcalling from the standpoint that his young quarterback wasn't trying to bite off more than he could chew.
The only exception was that bunch formation on a 4th-and-1 play in the fourth quarter. It just seemed too predictable, and defensive end Charles Grant wasn't accounted for. He had a clear path straight to Josh Freeman. Plus, prior to the timeout, the offense had lined up in essentially the same formation as the previous play which didn't work either. Hmm.
I applaud Olson for riding Cadillac through that entire overtime drive. Williams was on a hot streak, and utilizing him was a far better choice than opting for their standard rotation.
Raheem Morris' halftime adjustment shifting Tanard Jackson and Sabby Piscitelli was ingenious. After halftime, New Orleans' offensive production on the ground was limited to just 28 yards – a heck of an improvement after allowing the Saints 183 yards on the ground earlier this season.
