More Drama For Chargers WRs

I know that Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco have a TV show, but the San Diego Chargers wide receivers have a little soap opera brewing of their own. WR Legedu Naanee and WR Vincent Jackson have both made some news recently.
Jackson has been in the center of the drama for a good amount of time now. Last season, he was suspended by the league for three games after pleading guilty to his second DUI. He had a prolonged contract dispute with GM AJ Smith, which eventually led to him playing for spare change (by NFL standards) for the final few games of the season. The contract negotiations between VJ's agent and AJ got pretty ugly at times, and at one point the agent called AJ "the Lord of No Rings."
Jackson became a free agent after the season, but the Chargers have placed the franchise tag on him, which basically locked him into another year with the Bolts for this coming season. VJ has been in search for a long-term deal and now he is locked up for another year with the team he had been disputing all last season.
Now, the best story of the week comes from Naanee. Legs was in Peyton Manning land (Indianapolis) where he was arrested for having a little too much alcohol running through his veins. According to police, during the arrest, Legs responded to the officer by saying, "Do you know who I am?" It's hilarious that he thinks his football status will keep him out of trouble.
In December, Legedu was cleared of suspicion after his name came up in connection with a bar brawl that left one man seriously injured. Legedu and some teammates were at Bar West in Pacific Beach where the fight broke out, but police later determined they were not involved in the assault. But the charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest in Indianapolis probably ensure that the Chargers will not be re-signing him as a free agent.
Let's watch to see how the rest of the drama unfolds ...
