The Saints practiced in full pads for almost 2½ hours Thursday at the University of Miami football field, focusing primarily on first and second downs.

Coach Sean Payton traded his Saints attire for some Canes’ gear. Between that and his "bellhop" stint, he’s on track to have more costume changes than a Cher concert.

They also conducted a 30-minute walk-through with every unit, including special teams.

“I like us to have a little bit of that training camp mentality here,” said Payton, who added the team is ahead of schedule in its preparation.

Running back Reggie Bush spent the morning addressing questions about a photo that surfaced of him and girlfriend Kim Kardashian reportedly leaving a Miami nightclub after 3 a.m.

“It’s funny because that picture was actually of us walking into the club," the former USC star and Heisman winner said. "They say that we were (leaving the club) at 3:30 am, but the picture they showed was us walking in."

Bush said the photo was from Monday night, and that it was the only night he planned to go out before shutting down the social scene to focus on the game.

“Tuesday was an off day for us. It’s a player’s day off, other than the media day that we had at the stadium. That’s all we had to do that day.”
