For those of you who missed the last posting, I already defined the
offensive weapon that is Drew Brees,
so we’ll start with that and go on from there. Here’s hoping we get a matchup that truly lives up to the hype.
Brees (breeze) - noun
-breesly (adv) breesy (adj)
Origin: San Diego, 2001
1) Supplier of offensive firepower.
2) One who has beautiful hair.
3) Peyton Manning circa 2004.

Antonyms: boring, untalented, Jake Delhomme
“Did you hear about the recent feud between Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno?”
“Yeah, it’s kind of messed up that they aren’t really giving Conan a chance in his new gig.”
“Yeah, and it really isn’t even close – Conan is way better. Not only is he funnier, but his breesy hair is majestic and breathtaking.”
“True that – dude’s hair has got it going on.”
Peyton (pay-ton) - noun
-peytonly (adv) peytonesque (adj)
Origin: Indianapolis, 1998
1) A winner.
2) Member of a royal family.
3) One who can be relied on for
unique facial expressions.
Synonyms: great, spectacular, classy, Joe Montana
Antonyms: loser, unreliable, afterthought, Chris Weinke
“Jersey Shore is the peyton of all reality TV shows.”
“True – it’s like a train wreck that I cannot turn away from, unlike Celebrity Rehab, which is a true weinke.”
Reggie (rej-jee) - noun
reggily (adv) reggilike (adj)
Origin: New Orleans, 2006
1) A celebrity/athlete hybrid.
2) One whose college talents translate to a higher level.
3)
A night owl.
Synonyms: Terrell Owens, Tony Romo, Chad Ochocinco
Antonyms: Matt Leinert, Ryan Leaf, Lawrence Phillips
“People give him hell, but A-Rod probably has it pretty tough with the endless scrutiny.”
“Well, maybe if he didn’t try so hard to be a reggie by dating people like Madonna and Kate Hudson, people would be more sympathetic.”
Addai (uh-die)
-addais (pl) –addaily (adv)
Origin: Indianapolis, 2006
1) A cog in an impressively offensive wheel.
2)
Not a good analyst
Synonyms: Pierre Garcon, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark
Antonyms: Mike Furrey, Robert Royal, Chris Jennings (my apologies to Browns fans)
Ryan Howard and Chase Utley are just two addais leading the Phillies’ offense.
