Hope You're Rested, It's Time To Work

Last week was pretty miserable for Packers fans. There was no Green Bay game, no real Green Bay news; our team was on a bye. A much-needed and long-awaited bye.
My only solace was watching the Vikings continue to add to their losses by getting beat by the Bears, but it didn't really do it for me. I missed the Packers.
Monday morning came and the Packers are back to work, early morning practice, outside. Does Mike know our next two games are in domes? What is the purpose of practicing in 35-degree weather? I guess he knows best. He is the coach after all.
I'm looking forward to more news about the Packers as the week goes on. How are our injured players doing? Did they get the treatment and rest they need to play next Sunday when we head to Minnesota to play the Vikings one more time? I sure hope they can regain that post-bye momentum and hand the Vikings another "L" to add to their losing record. Just one more step in the road to the NFC North Title.
As of Monday morning we have the top ranked scoring defense in the NFL, allowing only 15.9 points per game. Meanwhile, Favre has 16 INTs, six fumbles and has been sacked 17 times. I look for Woodson and Matthews to have a stellar day and add a couple more INT's to No. 4's stats.
Thankfully the NFL allows only one bye per season. Sunday can't come soon enough for me.
