Back after being sidelined with a hip flexor, Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson had 110 yards on 13 carries and two catches for 15 yards in a 23-13 win over Detroit.
Cincinnati is 9-3 and on the brink of a playoff berth. Imagine Benson in the playoffs while the Bears watch at home. A year ago, who would have thought that could happen?
Cedric Benson returned to the lineup and rushed for 110 yards, pushing the Bengals closer to a playoff berth.
Here’s how some of your former Bears fared wearing other uniforms this week:
Kyle Orton, quarterback, Denver: Two lost fumbles and an interception against Kansas City, but the Broncos are 8-4 after the 44-13 win. Orton led the team to seven scoring drives.
Thomas Jones, running back, New York Jets: Had 109 yards on 23 carries in a 19-13 win over Buffalo.
Bernard Berrian, wide receiver, Minnesota: Five catches for 36 yards as the Vikings were trampled by Arizona.
Mike Brown, safety, Kansas City: Eight solo tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass defensed in the loss to the Broncos. Brown continues a solid streak of games after the Bears gave up on the oft-injured safety after last season.
Bobby Wade, wide receiver, Kansas City: Led the Chiefs with four catches for 36 yards in the Denver loss. He was targeted 12 times, though, and Matt Cassell finished with a passer rating of 14.6 for the Chiefs.
Rex Grossman, quarterback, Houston: He saw some game action! Grossman was 3-of-9 for 33 yards and an interception in a 23-18 loss to Jacksonville. He carried the ball three times for five yards.
Muhsin Muhammad, wide receiver, Carolina: Four catches for 43 years in a 16-6 win over 1-11 Tampa Bay.
Tank Johnson, defensive tackle, Cincinnati: Slowed by a knee injury, no stats against the Lions.
Marty Booker, wide receiver, Atlanta: One catch for four yards in a 34-7 loss to Philadelphia.
Justin Gage, wide receiver, Tennessee: Out for the past few weeks with a back injury, Gage may return in a week or two for the Titans.
Brandon Lloyd, wide receiver, Denver: Inactive versus Kansas City.
Mark Columbo, offensive tackle, Dallas: Inactive with an ankle injury.
