Bears vs. Cardinals: The Pick Is ...

This has all the makings of an ugly game for the Bears, who will likely see their undefeated home record end on Sunday. Arizona is 3-0 on the road and coming off a horrible 34-21 home loss to woeful Carolina. Kurt Warner was intercepted five times by the Carolina defense, and the Panthers ran for 270 yards on the Cards. Don’t look for the Bears’ offensive line, which struggled last week against Cleveland’s 32nd-ranked defense, to help Matt Forte to any gaudy numbers. Even if Anquan Boldin (right ankle) sits out on Sunday, the Cardinals win this one easily.
Prediction: Cardinals 31, Bears 16?

The Bears DBs won't be able to stay with the Cardinals air attack, and somewhere along the line, Larry Fitzgerald will get his and someone else will too. It will turn into a shootout because the Bears O-line won be able to grind time off the clock, though Matt Forte ought to do better. In the end, too much offensive firepower for the Redbirds, and the Desert Storm overtake the Bears in Soldier Field.
Prediction: Cardinals 28, Bears 24

As bad as the Bears have played the past three weeks, I have a sneaking suspicion that things could come together for them vs. the Cardinals if they can disrupt Kurt Warner's passing rhythm and if Jay Cutler can limit his turnovers while hitting Johnny Knox or Devin Hester deep. But the Bears' D has got to step up in a big way because Chicago's chances are greatly diminished if the game evolves into a shootout.
Prediction: Bears 20, Cardinals 17
