Short and sweet: The Ravens ran for 308 yards last week against Detroit and held the Lions to a field goal. The Ravens are playing for a playoff spot. The Bears are playing for … hmmm … a .500 season? We are 11-2 predicting Bears games this season and we’re looking forward to going 12-2.

The Ravens have scored more than 30 points this season in roughly half of their games, and are coming off of shellacking of the Lions. The Bears ought not to prove too much of an obstacle either, meaning this could get ugly fast. However, the Ravens have something to play for in Weeks 16 and 17 and the Bears do not. Rather than subject their starters to frustrated Bears abuse, the Ravens will pack it in with a comfortable lead.

The Ravens coasted last week against Detroit and probably could coast again to a win at home against the Bears.  Cutler shows signs of greatness, but they are just signs and they look like they are pointing us over a cliff. The young receivers looked good, but also have helped Cutler throw some of his league-leading 22 picks. The defense held Aaron Rodgers down last week, but let Ryan Grant go off and this week we get a much better running back than Grant in the Maurice-Jones Drew clone Ray Rice. And if Rice gets tired, Willis McGahee can smash his old bones into the defensive line.  Then if we happen to stop the run, Derrick Mason will use his wily old veteraness to grab a first down from Flacco.  It all looks daunting.

Maybe the Bears defense made some strides against the Packers last week. The Ravens don't have nearly the quantity of weapons that Green Bay's offense does, but it's still tough to see how the Bears will outscore the hosts, particularly if the weather in Baltimore is nasty. The Ravens feast on turnovers, and let's just say the Bears' pantry has been well-stocked with bird seed this season.
