Will anyone outside of Chicago or Detroit even tune in to this NFC North stinker? Doubtful, unless some yahoo was dumb enough to start one of the stiffs (Calvin Johnson notwithstanding) on a fantasy football team. We’ll give the Bears the edge here for no other reason than the fact that they beat the Lions once already this season.

The Lions have sold out this “home” game, but they have done so partially because Bears fans likely will occupy almost half the seats at Ford Field. Jay Cutler and Matt Forte each played well the last time Detroit and Chicago met, and this matchup should not be much different. The Lions will be able to stay in the game through the half, but the Bears will eventually pull away. Daunte Culpepper will play much better than he has for most of this season, but Detroit will be unable to muster out a win, and will instead settle for at least the number two drat pick. Meanwhile, Jay Cutler grabs momentum heading into 2010, and fantasy owners across the country are fooled into drafting him early again. And then he will likely show us the Jay Cutler we all know and love: interceptions galore.

How will the Bears handle their success of Monday night? If the defense plays with the urgency it did against the Vikings, it could shut the Lions out. But let's not get carried away.
