The Vikings are headed to the playoffs as one of the NFC's top seeds, while the Panthers will be spending January at home.
You wouldn't have known it Sunday night.
Carolina (6-8) topped Minnesota 26-7 in Charlotte, scoring three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter to come back from a 7-6 deficit. Matt Moore had his best game as a Panther, throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead strike to Steve Smith, who finished with 157 yards. The defense also did its job, holding Adrian Peterson to 35 yards rushing and limiting the Vikings to 237 total yards.
