Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick on his return to practice: “I felt good. The last two days my ankle has really responded well to treatment and just working through it during practice, there’s still pain there obviously, but it felt good and hopefully it’ll continue to feel good throughout the week. It was going to be a little bit lighter because I didn’t want to get everything thrown on top of me. But it felt good out there and hopefully I’ll come back (Thursday) and it’ll still feel good.”

Fitzpatrick on being comfortable getting outside of the pocket come Sunday: “That’s something that throughout the week I’m going to need to test out because that was something throughout the workouts (last) Sunday that wasn’t going well. The more comfortable I get this week, the more we’ll push it and I’ll try to do those things. But that will be something that we’ll continue to test throughout the week.”

Bills Interim Coach Perry Fewell on if Brian Brohm will see action this weekend: “Brian did take some reps and got some work. But I may lean to Ryan because he gives us the best opportunity, I think, to win this football game.”

Bills WR Lee Evans on his struggles this season: “This year has been all over the place. At different times, it’s been another opportunity for somebody to step up and show what they’ve got. That’s pretty much what we’ve been looking at, but we come out preparing to win no matter who is back there. It’s been tough at times. Good sometimes, not so good some other times, but when you look at the big picture there has been a lot of rotation with different people back there.”

Evans on missed opportunities this season with WR Terrell Owens: “I think in a lot of cases and a lot of instances we got exactly what we wanted to get or what we thought we were going to get in coverage. There were plenty of opportunities out there. We just weren’t able to make the best of them.”

Other news and notes:

Pro Bowl voting has concluded and Bills rookie safety Jairus Byrd was selected to his first Pro Bowl. Although he may not be healthy enough to play in the game, Byrd making the Pro Bowl as a rookie was not a small feat. Byrd didn’t begin this season as a starter, and he ended the season tied for the league lead with nine interceptions. He is the first rookie to be voted into the Pro Bowl from the Bills since running back Greg Bell in 1984.

Byrd wasn’t the only one to receive Pro Bowl honors for the Bills this season; the second comes from DT Kyle Williams, who’s picked as an alternate. Williams is having a great season, posting 59 tackles and three sacks. Not bad numbers for a 5th round pick in 2006.

Time Warner Cable purchased the remaining tickets for Sunday’s game against Colts, thus giving the Bills another sellout to end the 2009 season. "Time Warner Cable is a proud sponsor of the Bills, and we know how loyal the fans are to the team, so we are very pleased to be able to ensure that the Bills versus Colts matchup is televised for all of Western New York," said Terence Rafferty, Regional Vice President of Operations, Time Warner Cable WNY. "It's going to be an exciting game and fun for all fans to hopefully see the Bills win their last game."
