The Terrell Owens story is finished in Buffalo.

The Bills announced Saturday that they won't offer him a new contract for 2010. They also won't offer contracts to defensive end Ryan Denney plus wide receiver Josh Reed, and the three players become unrestricted free agents on March 5.

"We wanted to inform all three players ahead of the start of free agency period so they could begin making their plans," said new Bills GM Buddy Nix in an AP story. "We just felt this was the right thing to do."

The Bills keep making changes under Nix, and these moves, especially with Owens, are understandable. They're building for the future, not just for next season.
