This week's subtle secret is sleep.  As in, the single thing that drains excitement from a game and makes you sleepy is when both of a team's lines are not working.  It means that every dropback by Tony Romo is an exercise in anticipated disappointment, and every dropback by Matt Ryan is just a matter of waiting to see which sideline he has to throw it away to on a scramble.

No pressure on the D-Line means you get backbreaking scrambles by a mediocre running Romo, and no fortitude on the O-Line means Ryan hits the dirt as many times in one series as he has all season to date.

It also means that your intrepid Falcons Fanblogger fell asleep some time in the fourth quarter of the game.  Apparently, I didn't miss much.  Although, I did have the thought as I drifted off that it's weird to design and build a billion-plus dollar indoor stadium that lets sunlight in directly at eye level over half the field in the afternoon.  Seriously, why doesn't Jerry Jones just give away a free laser pointer to everyone at the game?

Big game coming up this week against the Saints!  Somebody should wake up the linemen for it ...
