The Cards are having a really fine season so far as they are currently ranked 1st in their division with a 3-game lead over San Francisco. The win last Sunday against the Rams was nice especially since Warner didn’t play in the 2nd half. The Cardinal offense in the first half was excellent as they had 3 scoring drives of 87, 90 and 78 yards. The defense played great as well holding the Rams to just 3 points in the first half.
Warner suffered a blow to the head in the 1st half, so coaches inserted Leinart. The offense was toned down quite a bit with Leinart at the helm which was to be expected. He also looked rusty and that was also to be expected since he hasn’t played in a full half in a few years. It still proved that the Cards need Warner to be successful.
With the precautionary move to not let Warner play in the 2nd half, Coach Whisenhunt is optimistic Warner will play this week after a conversation on the plane ride home. We will know more later Tuesday after further testing to determine Warner’s status for Week 12.
Kurt also believes he is good to go after the win on Sunday. Let’s all hope that is the case, as the Cardinals need him next week against the surging Titans.
