Cardinals Week 12 Preview - It's All About Kurt Warner!

This week should be an interesting one for the Cardinals as they travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans. The Titans started the season losing their first 6 games, but have now won their last 4. They are currently on a roll with Vince Young at QB, and leading rusher Chris Johnson. The Cardinals should have their hands full, but they have shown that they can play well on the road – winning all their games outside Phoenix.

In order for the Cardinals to be successful this week, they’ll need Kurt Warner running the offense. Even though Kurt has practiced all week, as of Saturday, the team still has Kurt listed as questionable which leaves the door open for Leinart. It’s also a precaution for the Cardinals as they probably won’t make a decision of whether Warner starts until game time.

If Warner does get the start and plays the entire game, I like the Cardinals chances. Kurt should have a nice game in the air as the Titan defense has surrendered 24 passing TDs, and 5 QB’s have passed for more than 300 yards so far against them.

The Titans play a pretty solid run defense, but I still like Beanie to rack up close to 100 yards and another score this week. The WR corps should also have a nice outing against the Titans as they have no answer for Larry and Anquan on either side of the field.

The Cardinal defense will be tested this week against Johnson, who should have a decent game like always. If the Cardinals allow him to heat up then it will be a close game throughout. Vince will probably throw a TD pass and have a few nice runs of his own, but he is by no means an elite QB, so I don’t expect much.

Ultimately, this game will be decided by whether or not Warner plays. If he plays - I like the Cardinals. But if not - forget it!
